AGU Scientific Integrity and Professional Ethics

Ethical behavior is paramount in all that we do as scientists. AGU expects its members to adhere to the highest standards of scientific integrity in their research activities, and in their interactions with colleagues and the public. Among the core values articulated in AGU’s Strategic Plan are “excellence and integrity in everything we do.”  Following a comprehensive analysis of the organization’s activities and policies regarding scientific misconduct and ethical behavior, the AGU Board and Council approved the Scientific Integrity and Professional Ethics policy for implementation in 2013.
